M-1942 Reinforced Jacket, Luxury

This jacket is a reproduction. This is the so-called "reinforced" M-42 model, since unlike the "standard" M-42 model, it received the addition of strong canvas pieces under the cargo pockets and at the elbows making the jacket less fragile to the conditions of combat. This is the model worn mostly by the paratroopers of the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions in Normandy and seen in the series "Band of Brothers - Brothers in Arms" by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. This luxury version is thicker canvas, better color and better bill than the other version offered, more resistant. The 3 seams on the reinforcements are reproduced.
