M-1942 Reinforced Jacket

This jacket is a reproduction. This is the so-called "reinforced" M-42 model, as unlike the "standard" M-42 model, it has received strong pieces of canvas under the pockets and at the elbows making the jacket less fragile during conditions of combat. This is the model mostly worn by the paratroopers of the 101st and 82nd airborne divisions in Normandy and seen in the series "Band of Brothers - Frères d'armes" by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks.

The patch of the 82nd division "All American" is sewn but can be changed.
