M-1942 Reinforced Trousers

This pant is a reproduction. It is the M-42 model called "reinforced" because contrary to the M-42 "standard" model, it received the addition of strong canvas pieces under the cargo pockets and at the level of the knees making the pants less fragile to the combat conditions. The canvas straps are passed over the side cargo pockets once they are loaded. This is the model worn mostly by paratroopers of the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions in Normandy and seen in the series "Band of Brothers" by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks.
