Mess kit pouch US

This original canvas pouch is equipped with 4 metal buckles that allow it to be attached to the M-28 field pack. It is designed to hold a mess kit and a set of U.S. military cutlery. Many soldiers also used it to store various small items, as the backpack had no other pockets. This pouch was manufactured for the U.S. Army and issued to soldiers during World War II.

The loops and buckles on the back of the pouch have been unstitched and are missing; the price reflects this.
