M-43 Shovel cover

This canvas sheath is designed to carry the M-1943 shovel, often called the “folding shovel,” which—unlike the “T-shovel”—can be used as a pickaxe. The sheath is equipped with a hook—the second, adjustable type—that allows the shovel to be secured to a belt or to the M-1928 knapsack in the designated slot. The cover shows signs of wear, and the markings are almost completely faded. Dated 1944.

The clasp is damaged and does not close easily; the price reflects this condition.
