US M-1936 Bag Strap

This multipurpose strap is adjustable and features two buckles. It fits the American M36 musette so it can be carried across the body or over the shoulder, but it also fits any bag equipped with hooks. The M36 musette was the bag used by U.S. Army paratroopers as well as many other U.S. soldiers during World War II. It later became the schoolbag of choice for many schoolchildren and students. The manufacturer’s markings are present, and the strap is dated 1942.
