T5 buckle, Normandy

This metal buckle is unique and was originally mounted on the harnesses of U.S. Army T5 parachutes. It is in its original, found condition and was recovered years ago at a former drop zone of the U.S. 82nd Airborne Division. A memento of the June 6, 1944, parachute drops in Normandy—to be cleaned or displayed as a “field relic.”
