M-43 Shovel cover (2)

This canvas cover is used to carry the M-1943 shovel, often referred to as a “folding shovel,” which, unlike the “T-shovel,” can be used as a pickaxe. This case is equipped with a hook, the second type being adjustable, allowing the shovel to be attached to the belt or to the M-1928 haversack in the space provided for this purpose. The cover shows signs of wear and the markings are almost faded.
