US Overshoes

These overshoes are original and were supplied to US Army soldiers. This pair is not new, it has a worn look and one of the shoes has tears (see photos) and is size 10 (44). Overshoes were meant to be worn over combat boots (but can be worn without) to protect them from moisture and cold. Due to a shortage of rubber, the manufacture of overshoes was quickly abandoned, but they were used throughout the war.
