Leaflet Safe Conduct -Passierschein

This original Allied “SAFE CONDUCT - PASSIERSCHEIN” leaflet was intended for German soldiers, urging them to surrender.

On one side, a paragraph in English gives instructions to be followed if a German soldier presents himself with this document, while a paragraph in German explains that the German soldier is using this document as “a sign of his honorable willingness to surrender”.

On the reverse, several paragraphs in Gothic script describe the lives of German soldiers in prison camps who have already surrendered.
