Worn around the neck, the German army's World War II identity plate usually includes an individual code as well as the initials of the unit to which the wearer belongs. In the event of death, this one is cut in two. The first half remains on the deceased, the second is kept and transmitted to the burial service. This reproduction is delivered without any inscription. Aluminium version, notably worn by certain units (Fallschirmjägers, etc...).
