M-1943 Folding shovel
Original M-43 individual folding shovel, 1943, in poor condition
The M43 folding shovel is gradually replacing the M-1910 straight shovel. It fits into a special canvas sheath equipped with a hook for attaching the set to a belt or a bag. This example is dated 1943; however, the handle is a postwar French replacement, and the shaft is broken.
