M-43 Shovel cover

This canvas sheath is designed to carry the M-1943 shovel, often called the “folding shovel,” which—unlike the “T-shovel”—can be used as a pickaxe. This sheath is equipped with a hook—of the first type—that allows the shovel to be secured to a belt or to the M-1928 haversack in the designated slot. The cover is OD3 in color and shows signs of wear. Markings are faded.
