T5 buckle, Normandy

This metal buckle is original and was mounted on the harnesses of US Army T5 parachutes. It is in its original condition and was discovered years ago on a former drop zone of the US 82nd Airborne Division. A souvenir of the June 6, 1944, Normandy landings, to be cleaned or kept in a display case as a “relic of the field.”
