Surplus d'Histoire et de Créations
This rattle is original and in good condition. Originally a musical instrument, this type of rattle was used during the Second World War. On the one hand, the rattle was used by civilians or passive defenders to announce bombings or gas attacks. On the other, it was used to muster troops. Despite the split lamella, this rattle is functional and still bears the original markings. Dated 1942. It was found among other military equipment in Normandy many years ago.
