5 Francs - Note

This paper bill was worth 5 francs. It was distributed to all Allied soldiers, among other denominations, to enable them to consume in liberated and then occupied territory. At the time, it was not known how long the occupation would last, and the economy of regions devastated by years of conflict needed to be revived. The territory concerned by this model is France.
