Engineers cap - Burnell

This chino cap with Engineers piping (white and red) is original and belonged to Kenneth W. Burnell.

Kenneth W. Burnell was born in Baldwin, Maine, in 1913. He joined the U.S. Army on November 8, 1943, and didn't leave until March 16, 1946. His serial number was 31399545, and he was a member of the 245th Engineer Combat Btn. This unit left Great Britain on December 25, 1944 to join the front in Europe. The 245th Engineer Combat Btn supported the 26th Infantry Division, 94th Infantry Division, the 6th, 10th, 11th Armored Divisions, 3rd and 16th Cavalry Groups.
