M-43 Shovel cover

This canvas case can be used to carry the M-1943 shovel, often referred to as a “folding shovel”, which unlike the “T-shovel” can be used as a pickaxe. This case is fitted with a hook, the first type to hold the shovel on the belt or on the M-1928 Havresac in the place provided. The case is dated 1943, color OD3 and shows a few tears.
