This canvas case can be used to carry the M-1943 shovel, often referred to as the "folding shovel", which unlike the "T-shovel" can be used as a pickaxe. This case is fitted with a hook, the second adjustable type, enabling the shovel to be held in place on the belt or on the M-1928 Havresac. The case is in good condition and is dated 1944.
