M-43 folding shovel of the US Army, dated 1944
The M43 folding shovel is gradually replacing the M-1910 straight shovel. It is housed in a special canvas bag with a hook for carrying it on a belt or bag. This original is in good condition, with legible markings, date of manufacture and manufacturer: AMES 1944. Used by the entire US Army during WWII.
