Wac garrison cap - Ross

This original chino cap was issued to the women of the Women's Army Corps of the U.S. Army during World War II. Manufacturer's markings and name: Lawton. It is in good condition, the manufacturing label indicating a 1945 manufacture. The size label is still present (21 1/2).

This cap belonged to Clara Kate Ross (married Cromwell), born in 1913 in Kentucky. She served with the rank of sergeant in WWII and Korea. She died in 2005.
