Commando Kieffer badge

This metal badge is a reproduction of the badge worn on the beret of the men of the French 1st BFM (Bataillon de Fusiliers Marins). Commanded by Capitaine de Corvette Philippe Kieffer and seconded to the British Commando N°4, 177 of these men landed on Sword Beach on June 6, 1944.
