Gas detection armband, Oilcloth

Reproduction of the armband used by the Allies during various operations to detect the presence of possible gas attacks. In the case of the Normandy assault, due to the absence of this type of chemical weapon, the armbands were quickly removed and stored in the gas mask pouch. If a gas was detected, the armband would change color. This version reproduced in waxed canvas offers a better duration in time than our paper reproductions.
